Monday morning Chief 1, Safety, Engine 1, and Engine 31 responded to a reported fire at USG Interiors.  CAFD units arrived to find moderate smoke through out the facility and an industrial dryer with a large amount of burning product in it.  The fire was contained to the dryer section and attached ventilation system of the involved production line, and caused extensive damage to the mechanical equipment.  CAFD worked with USG mechanical and production staff to extinguish the fire and mitigate further hazards so that USG staff could begin repair.

There were no injuries and units were on scene for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours.  District units responded to three medical incidents and this fire in a twenty minute period.
