The Cloquet Area Fire District offers fire and life safety programs to Pre-K and elementary students within the Fire District. These programs are designed to help children understand the importance of fire safety. Topics discussed include: introduction to firefighters, when to call 911, home escape plans, dangers of playing with fire, and other important fire safety messages.
During Fire Prevention Month, which takes place in October, our public education staff visit schools within the Fire District. They provide education on fire safety, hand out educational workbooks, and provide the opportunity for students to participate in a coloring contest.
